The client, Riku Yamamoto, is opening an Asian fusion fast food restaurant on Queen Street West in Toronto. His target audience are teenagers between 14 to 19. He is very interested in tin robots, some dating back to 1950. He wanted to display his collection of tin robots to create a fun and playful atmosphere and introduce 1950’s robot culture. The design problem is to create a brand system for the Asian fusion fast food restaurant. According to the owner, he wants to express a fun and playful concept. Pop artist and contemporary designer Keith Haring’s comic-like and iconic images represent fun and playful mood that is the same as the owner’s theme. This design characteristic represents the brand’s personality.
